Bodging a morse paddle..

A few weeks ago I got it into my head that I wanted to try out a morse paddle......

One problem....... I don't have a morse paddle...

But I do have a few morse keys.

Half an hour later, and a stereo jack and some wood/nails/saw/hammer...and I was sending CQ on my new "MJB" morse paddle.

I've heard of people successfully using a computer mouse as a paddle......probably my next project.... :0)

20m Delta Loop....de MW0BBU.

While trawling through various sites I came across this from LA8OKA.

Now I remember having something similar up at MW0BBU several years ago.

The one I had was really good for SWR, quite wide in its bandwidth, was really good on receive, gave out a really good signal.. wait for it..... It rang my Telephone every time I used it, much to the non amusement of the household.

To be fair, when I reduced the power all was ok.

Seeing this has made me wonder how well it may do me for my QRP exploits.
Worth a go me thinks.

Steve... MW0BBU.

All credits to LA8OKA for the drawing and dimensions.
